The Company
Our client is a leading packaging business based in Essex, with extremely competitive and high-quality machinery. The business has grown its sales base rapidly and is part of a large group.

The Role
The Role will principally involve:
• Provide client with advice and support on product requirements.
• Supporting external sales team and liaise with all functions of the business.
• Updating internal system.
• Ensuring that enquiries are accurately processed with agreed lead times.
• Ensuring that all orders are accurately processed within agreed timescales.
• Ensuring that phone calls are consistently answered within an agreed timescale.
• Ensuring that stocks are managed optimally and within agreed guidelines.
• Ensuring that any customers are given prior notice of any deliveries that will be late.
• Ensuring that quotations are followed up.
• Resolve credit issues & updating complaints log.
• Full accountability of the customer service function for the account base.
• Working with the internal team to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the customer service function.
• Work with the customer service team and other colleagues within the business to improve cross-departmental relations, which in turn will increase flexibility and efficiency in their service offerings.
• Maximise margin gain by ensuring the team carefully evaluate the pricing and costs associated with each order.
• Pro-actively upsell and cold call dormant and low usage clientele to increase business revenue.


The Person
It is likely that the ideal candidate will possess:
• A proven track record in customer service/Account management
• A warm and efficient telephone manner.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Good numeracy, people and influencing skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
