A leading organisation that specialises in the design and development for the next generation of Aerospace engines. They have recently started a ground-breaking innovative project and as a result of this, they are seeking an Electrical Engineer, on a permanent basis, to assist with the design, installation and testing of all electrical control and instrumentation systems for this brand new project.

THE SALARY/RATE/PACKAGE/BENEFITS

The Electrical Engineer will receive:

THE CANDIDATE

Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineer / Lead Electrical Engineer / Electrical Control and Instrumentation Engineer / Head of Electrical

The Electrical Engineer will require the following:

Essential Skills / Qualifications

- Electrical experience that covers both AC and DC power supplies
- Experience with defining electrical specifications and requirements, ideally for a test or manufacturing facility
- A minimum of 5 years commercial experience as an Electrical Engineer
- In depth technical knowledge of hazardous environments (ideally ATEX, petro-chem or aero engine applications)

Desirable Skills / Qualifications

- Experience dealing with data acquisition systems (LabView or MATLAB preferable)
- A solid understanding of electrical hardware, software and control systems
- CAD experience
- Basic lab skills including soldering and the operation of test equipment
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- The ability to interrogate and program PLC's

THE ROLE

Electrical Engineer

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join an exciting new venture and hit the ground running. As well as working individually to support the Project Manager and provide assistance to two electrical engineers. We are also looking for a team player who has a positive approach to work and can focus when completing a variety of responsibilities.

Day to day tasks will include, but are not limited to:

- Provide assistance with the design and modification to existing and new systems
- Design and advise on the electrical specifications and requirements
- Liaise and decide on which electrical contractors and suppliers will be used for specific projects
- Be the decision maker on major decisions throughout the project lifecycle i.e. requirements capture, specification design, supplier and sub-contractor selection, construction, installation, testing and commissioning
- All work will be carried out on a variety of different systems within a hazardous working environment (ATEX site)
