We are currently representing a globally respected consultancy, in their focus to appoint a Non-Life Actuarial Manger. Our client have one of the world's largest and most established actuarial functions within practice. They offer truly integrated services across all disciplines in the Insurance, Risk and Financial Services industries.

Key aspects of the position

Actuarial Managers are involved in the successful delivery and management of actuarial and multidisciplinary projects, including managing both the relationship with clients and the performance of the internal team.

The successful candidate will be expected to drive the production of client deliverables, with an emphasis on quality and teaming.

They will have a responsibility for assisting with the management and development of more junior colleagues.

They will look to develop a number of areas of technical excellence, participating in the research and development required to support the growth of these fields of expertise.

They will be comfortable interacting with clients at a senior level

They will be expected to adopt an account management mind-set, identifying client specific needs.

They will be able to positively promote the EY strategy, services and values.



Experience

Technical

* Qualified Actuary, with a minimum of 5 years professional experience in non-life insurance, consultancy or reinsurance



* Demonstrated ability in problem solving and managing multiple tasks



* Excellent technical and analytical skills



* Previous experience in at least two of the following areas is required :
* Solvency II
* Reserving / Financial Reporting
* Pricing
* Capital and Risk Management

Background

* Previous experience in managing more junior staff and delivering projects
* Capable of working autonomously or with a team,
* Excellent communication skills both in written and oral format
* Counselling/mentoring duties and contributing to performance appraisal for staff
