The Role

The Resourcing Department plays a crucial role in helping to ensure operations run smoothly at Block. The Resource Assistant (RA) supports the team in driving optimal efficiency through best practice scheduling, reporting, organising and coordination of our IT engineering workforce. Responsibilities within the department are varied, and can range from booking complex travel and accommodation, to preparing reports on the utilisation of time within our engineering team. The Resource Assistant builds relationships across the business, working across departments to ensure key systems (such as Time & Space) are maintained and optimised.

The RA is a team player; confident, articulate and helpful by nature. They are exceptionally well organised and able to prioritise a busy workload. Core Responsibilities
  • Scheduling engineering time into our internal resourcing system Time & Space
  • Reporting on resource and time utilisation
  • Booking complex travel and accommodation for all staff
  • Supporting project management with logistical arrangements including deliveries and collections
  • Organising and distributing relevant documentation in support of project management
  • Liaising with key suppliers and partners to coordinate arrangements
  • Maintaining Time & Space with all required information
Experience and Qualifications
  • Educated to A-Level Standard or BTEC equivalent
  • Experience of customer-facing or coordination role preferred, although not essential
