About the Role

The OT is responsible for the delivery of effective Occupational Therapy services across multiple sites for adults residing in community rehabilitation units who present learning disabilities and complex needs.
You will contribute to the high standards of person centred care provided within Sequence Care Group Ltd, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team as an autonomous individual.
The Occupational Therapist must portray the core skills necessary to carry out a more specialised role within a community rehabilitation unit catering for adults with dual diagnosis and complex needs.
The OT will oversee a team of Occupational Therapy Assistants.
Devise, implement and evaluate treatment programmes.
Complete comprehensive assessments of clients, using clinical reasoning to select appropriate assessment techniques which lead to identifying client’s strengths and needs. This will involve seeking and sharing personal and potentially sensitive information with the client.
Agree appropriate and realistic goals for treatment producing comprehensive treatment plans in order to achieve goals.
You will have the ability to work without direct supervision in Sequence Care Groups community rehabilitation units delivering client programmes adhering to local and national professional standards whilst keeping the Lead OT informed.
You will be a proactive member of the multi-disciplinary team and other agencies (e.g. Social services, Voluntary agencies) ensuring that effective communication and liaison takes place at all times.
You will have an interest and knowledge base of Occupational Therapy and its application within this specialist setting.
You will have relevant experience (within OT, LD or a secure setting) in a clinical area, ideally with a minimum of 6 months post graduate experience.
You will be kind, compassionate, take responsibility for your own actions and be keen to acquire new knowledge
You will have a degree in Occupational Therapy.
HCPC Registration is required.
You will be a member of the British Association of Occupational Therapy.
