Job Title: Lead Pricing Analyst – SAS/SQL

Location: Leeds

Salary: to £50,000 (DOE) + bonus, flex allowance & benefits

Our clientspecialises in debt purchasing and is one of the fastest growing companies in the UK. They are looking for a Lead Analyst with experience in an analytical role using SAS/SQL, to join their Pricing & Analytics team at their head office based in Leeds. 

As a Lead Analyst you will:
  • Have pre-purchase coverage responsibility for defined market sectors, regarding the timely delivery of robust pricing analysis of new prospective portfolios originated within those sectors
  • Use SAS to perform portfolio analysis and predictive modelling, and combine this with commercial knowledge and experience in order to value new prospective portfolios
  • Present these valuation/price recommendations to Pricing Committee
  • Line manage a Pricing Analyst, and organise their collective resources/capacity to effectively manage the acquisition pipeline
  • Support the Business Development team to develop sales strategy and to deliver acquisition spend targets
  • Co-ordinate with Operational Analytics to define appropriate targets for new prospective portfolios, and to support the delivery of those targets post-purchase
  • Identify opportunities to optimize and continuously improve the pricing process, model suite and infrastructure to maintain competitive advantage and stay abreast of all regulatory factors
  • Support the wider business as an SME regarding pricing analytics and asset valuation
Candidate Profile
  • At least 3 to 4 years’ experience of using SAS on a daily basis data analysis and predictive modelling purposes ideally within the consumer credit industry. Advanced user of Excel.
  • Strong degree in a mathematical/analytical related discipline or equivalent.
  • Stakeholder management experience.
  • Strong communicator at all levels across the business.
