We are recruiting a Pricing Analytics Actuary on behalf one of our favourite clients, a well-known and respected London Market Global insurer.

In this role your primary responsibility will be the development and maintenance of pricing tools (Global Energy and Aviation lines of business specifically), which provide underwriters with a benchmark for the risks they write. You will also provide analytics to the relevant business units and other stakeholders in order to assist with active steering of the business.

Part of the role includes managing a direct report, so this is an excellent opportunity for someone with supervisory ambitions to gain managerial experience.

We are seeking candidates with preferably London Market pricing experience gained in any line of business with VBA skills.

Key responsibilities include:

·Develop and maintain pricing tools, in particular this involves refinement of the tools through calibrations and the development of appropriate statistical pricing methodologies.

·Establish an excellent working relationship with the Underwriters to ensure their long term support for the pricing tools

·Provide regular reporting and analysis from the pricing tool data, to assist management with the active steering of the portfolio, particularly monitoring of risk adjusted rate changes

·Develop strong processes around modelling reporting and analysis

·Peer review

·Management of one direct report of a junior analyst, including defining their day to day workload and supporting their development

Key requirements/experience:

·Part or qualified P&C actuary

·At least 2 years pricing experience

·Strong computer skills including Excel, VBA and or SQL

·Excellent communication skills-someone who enjoys stakeholder management
