Application Support Analyst - Selby

This is an exciting and fairly unique opportunity for a Application Support Analyst to join a company in a period of exponential growth via organic means and acquisition. Purpose:

To specify, develop, implement, monitor and maintain systems, tools and applications to facilitate business operations and to support the associated controls and processes. The role will own and lead the support of business critical applications, within the Live environment, and the delivery of change. 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:

  • Ability to manage, effectively, the resolution of support issues
  • Experience of analytical and logical thinking
  • Identify key underlying patterns that could affect present or future service performance.
  • Proven, and demonstrable, strong technical and non-technical problem solving skills.
  • Have the capability to explain and express complex risks and issues and to develop appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Proven customer focussed, with a genuine drive for delivering excellent service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work to multiple targets, with changing priorities in demanding environments
  • Key Accountabilities:

  • Deliver system availability within given service level agreements (SLA’s) and analyse problems and identify both tactical solutions to restore service and root causes for long term resolution.
  • Carry out cause determination for incidents and recorded problems.
  • Deliver the resolution of application problems, and incidents, using appropriate shared knowledge, 3rd party support and Specialist advice.
