Embedded Software Engineer
It's not that often with embedded software that the products you make literally save lives, and even rarer that you are involved through the entire product lifecycle. Working as part of a small but dedicated Electronics and Software team you will play a key part in developing equipment to help Firefighters under the most difficult conditions, not just giving them the ability to save lives, but also making sure that they stay safe in the process.
You'll often be working with prototypes sat next to you on the desk while you work with bare metal coding on PIC and ARM cortex microcontrollers, working closely with hardware engineers to make sure the products you make are as good as they can be.
The company take a long term view and invest heavily in R&D; you'll be encouraged to file patents and will be able to focus on delivering quality products rather than financial targets.
Skills you'll need:
- Embedded C experience
- Low level/bare metal programming
- Understanding/appreciation of hardware design
