If you want to help people understand the challenges of social housing in London -then this could be the job for you.
Homes for Haringey serves around 20,000 households as well as managing and preventing homelessness in one of the most diverse boroughs in London. Working at the sharp end of the housing crisis, the work we do makes a real difference to the people of Haringey and we are often faced with very difficult decisions.

The communications team is vital in helping our customers, our residents, and the public understand what we do and why. At the same time we need to ensure our staff feel informed, valued and motivated through clear and effective communication.
This is an exciting opportunity to start a career in a fast moving profession that is always looking for better ways of getting the right messages across. You could join our small, dynamic team responsible for promoting the good, explaining the not so good and defending where necessary. As we are a small team dealing with internal communications, resident communications, press and social media there is a real opportunity to develop your skills and experience across all communications strands.

This means you will do everything from monitoring the media and social media, writing news stories for our resident magazine and adapting them for the website and our social media channels, managing press and staff events, designing posters, leaflets and e-communications and website design and publishing.
At the same time you will work in a sector which is rarely out of the news, often dealing with some the most vulnerable people in our society, and always adapting to the latest challenges.

You will be a motivated, creative, self-starter full of ideas on how to use modern technology to engage our audiences. You will have experience and skill in design work (InDesign, Adobe), possibly even a graphic design qualification. You should be flexible, a team player, and an excellent writer with a keen eye for detail.
If you are shortlisted to interview you will be asked to provide examples of your design work. Please read the full Job Description and Person Specification to see if this might be the right role for you.
