Waking Night Child Care Worker - Kettering
BS Social Care is recruiting for a full time and permanent Child Care Worker to work with a residential home for children and young people. You will provide a personalised provision, for children with learning disabilities and complex support needs including Autism, Epilepsy, mild to moderate Learning Disabilities and complex behavioural needs, all within a homely environment.
The employer owns two homes in total so potential for progression is a possibility.
About the job; you will be working with a 6 bedded home for children and young people aged 8 years - 18 years with Learning Disabilities.
Your duties will be to deliver high standards of care, protection and support to children and young people with learning disabilities and related complex needs by facilitating their physical, psychological, emotional and recreational development. You will support the children and young people in all the ways they need. You will provide the best possible care to all your service users to enable them to have the best start in life.
The ideal candidate will have the following;
* Residential experience
* Must be over 21
* Must drive
* Must have some kind of challenging behaviour experience (can be with adults)
* Must be willing to train towards a Level 3 qualification
A pay rate of £8ph will be offered for a full time permanent role working 35 hours per week on average. Examples of your shift patterns are; 7.15am - 2.15pm / 2.15pm - 9.30pm or long days of 7.15am - 9.30pm. You will working every other weekend of alternating long days. For example; 1st week - Saturday long day, 2nd week - off, 3rd week Sunday long day, 4th week off and so forth. This will be explained fully at interview stage.
