Senior Cost Manager (PQS background) - Residential
I am now seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor/ Cost Manager to join my client in their central London office to work mainly on high value residential projects including mixed use and high rise.
Your background will need to include experience of working for a firm of PQS or multi disciplinary consultants and you will need to be MRICS qualified.
Our client is a successful firm of consultants offering clients quantity surveying and project management services.
They work for known Blue Chip clients and and high net worth individuals and projects are varied and of high value.
Currently they have almost 70 people working in their London office.
I am now seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager with around three years or more experience having worked for a firm of private practice quantity surveyors, multi disciplinary consultants or similar.
You will need to have a Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or similar subject and probably be chartered with the RICS - either MRICS or FRICS qualified.
You will need to have gained experience of UK residential projects and ideally of mixed use projects too.
Experience of preparing cost plans, feasibility studies, tender documentation and pre-tender estimates is essential and experience of providing advice on procurement and contracts.
You will need experience of attendance at site meetings plus client and design team meetings.
You will also need to have done post contract quantity surveying including preparing cost reports, agreeing monthly valuations with the main contractors, valuing scheme variations, agreeing final accounts and analysing construction costs for taxation purposes.
Good communication and client facing skills essential. You should also be able to mentor graduates.
Salary will be in the region of £50000 to £55000 according to experience plus discretionary bonus, private health insurance, interest free season ticket loan, pension scheme etc.
