Support Worker - Children and young people
We are looking for energetic and passionate people to work with children learning disabilities, to help children and their families live and enjoy their lives to the fullest.
This is a well designed service and their main focus is ensuing the children are given the correct level of care and support to help them with their journey into independence. Your role here will be to help the children with all aspects of their daily lives, including helping them in the mornings getting up and ready school, assisting or prompting personal care. Helping after school with homework, you will also have the opportunity to assist with activities for the children to keep them entertained and allow them to have fun.
Some days you will be helping with trips out to allow the children time to unwind, you'll visit places such as the zoo, cinema, swimming pools or shopping centres.
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to build a relationship with the children to help improve their lives, you will become someone they will trust and rely on and ultimately become and role model for them.
For this role you need to have experience working with children in a care setting, an up-to-date DBS and have a full UK driving licence.
