Our client is offering the opportunity for a procurement professional to join a newly created UK strategic team. With a current workforce of 16,000 globally our client is expanding and in need of a strategic procurement function to support their existing requirement in addition to support new projects as the business grows. Directly reporting to the newly appointed Procurement Director, the Category Manager will be responsible for supporting the Procurement strategy for the purchasing, planning, supply and logistics of all related procurement category projects ensuring the best possible option for the Company in terms of product quality, provisioning, cost and overall standards ensuring project timeline adherence and delivery. This is a global role where you will be required to travel internationally on a regular basis.


  • Proven procurement experience within the hospitality sector (ideally Hotels, Cruise Ship, Resort industry)
  • Experience in managing complex multi category procurement budgets in a multi-site environment
  • Fluent English (Knowledge of a second European language is preferred but not essential);
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with a clear ability to network and build strong relationships
  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or Engineering (additional professional certificate is considered as a plus);
  • Certification from Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) (preferred but not essential)
  • International trading awareness and management, such as import / export management
  • Proven knowledge of finance and international legal documents/procedures, such as invoices, contracts, etc
