Business Development Manager

Our client is a UK, West Midlands based chemical company which stock and supply chemicals and acids from the leading British and International chemical manufacturers as well as manufacturing a range of 'own brand' products specifically formulated. They wish to appoint an ambitious, self-motivated Development Manager to grow its successful chemical products business.

The position is home office based in the Midlands but will require frequent travel within the UK. This role reports to the Managing Director.

Responsibilities & Skills Required

- Achieving realistic and ambitious sales and profitability growth targets Implementing business strategies.
- Business Developing and maintaining customer relationships (at all levels) Supporting the business as part of a team.
- Timely and accurate reporting Hunting for new business opportunities Visiting key accounts regularly and proactively.
- Developing distributor network and create effective relationships across all markets to increase opportunities.

The successful candidate will have:

- Ideally at least two years' experience selling specialty chemicals, including industrial cleaning products.
- Experience of balancing travel and office work time.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales/profitability targets Natural sales ability with a strong conversion drive.
- Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
- Clean driving licence is essential.
