An amazing career opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional with a proven background managing customer accounts, particularly with the UK's top 4 retailers. Due to an expanding customer base of key accounts, The Cake Crew have created an additional account management role for a driven and commercially minded business development professional, to join the well-established food manufacturing company that has exciting expansion plans.

Who will I be working with?

The Cake Crew is the UK's largest independent manufacturer of private label and own brand cupcakes, supplying a variety of bakery products into major supermarkets, independent retailers and wholesalers. The award winning business has been rapidly expanding due to customer demand and has a workforce in excess of 240 personnel based from sites in North Wales and Cheshire. The Cake Crew continue to make significant investments into the development of employees and infrastructure to build upon the success, with recognition and reward high on the agenda.

So, what will the role of National Account Manager entail?

As a National Account Manager you'll be responsible for maintaining and growing sales of the company's product range, seeking out new business opportunities whilst managing all assigned accounts effectively and profitably. Your duties will include, although not be limited to:

- Optimising the business' commercial potential and maximising profitability with existing accounts
- Developing effective joint business plans for key customers
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities
- Achieving budgeted sales and margin targets
- Attending trade shows and exhibitions to promote company products
- Improving knowledge of the industry continuously
- Developing key internal customer relationships
- Analysing sales statistics and compiling reports as required

What will I need to be considered for this National Account Manager vacancy?

- Proven experience with own brand or branded product sales in the food industry, ideally within the bakery sector
- Experience of managing accounts with the UK's top 4 retailers
- Commercial awareness with an entrepreneurial flair
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team and using own initiative with minimal supervision
- Full UK driving licence and own transport

Salary: £40,000 plus car allowance, or £45,000 without

Hours of Work: Full time, Monday to Friday. Flexibility will be required to meet client needs.

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Working from either the Wimslow (Cheshire) or Bala (North Wales) offices as appropriate for work tasks, with extensive national travel to visit customers. Occasional option to work from home.
