Senior Client Configuration Specialist (Apple)

The role

UAL are seeking to invest in an experienced Configuration specialist in Apple desktop technologies to develop, maintain and support Apple operating systems and applications. You will be involved with integrating Apple technologies into Windows environments as well as other back end services. As a Subject Matter expert in Apple configuration you will supervise the day to day operation of this small specialist team. You will take a lead for maintaining, developing and supporting the change & release management of operating systems, applications, security and policies within the Mac environment. You will be responsible for packaging and releasing changes to the Apple Desktop environment across the University.

Your profile

- Strong experience of Apple desktop configuration is essential
- Experience of taking a lead and acting as a Subject Matter Expert is required
- Experience of the following would be highly desirable with a focus on management technologies including: macOS, Jamf Casper Suite (Jamf Pro), Scripting-Bash, Apple Server, Apple Managed Preferences and Configuration Profiles.
- Any exposure to Scripting/McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator or VMWare Fusion would be advantageous
- Integration experience of macOS into windows environments


- You will be a self-motivated and dynamic individual who is able to be adaptable and flexible and able to adjust to a new situations and environments
- Effective oral and written communication skills ,with a logical and sensible approach to tasks
- Ability to communicate with people at all levels, including the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical users
