Taskmaster in Huddersfield are looking for an experienced and passionate catering supervisor to work in a prominent care facility just outside Huddersfield. The restaurant they operate is open to staff, families, visitors and residents so high standards of work and the best levels of customer service are paramount.
THE MAIN DUTIES of the post are to cook and serve breakfast sandwiches, 2 main meals for lunchtime, jacket potatoes, a 'Subway style' sandwich and salad bar. There is always one other catering assistant on duty. The unit also has a barista coffee machine and training will be given on this.
Manage stock and place orders to ensure correct levels of stock are maintained in line with budget allocations, ensuring wastage is kept to a minimum, Cash handling including daily cashing up and balancing of float.
Managing the vending machines within the Trust, Supervise support and direct a small team of catering operatives, Devise seasonal rolling menus taking into account customer preferences, diets and allergies, Comply with food safety, health and safety and coshh legislation and Trust policies and procedures. Ensure team members are fully up to date with training requirements and records are maintained, Ensure all equipment, utensils and areas both front and back of house including dining areas are maintained in a clean, tidy and safe manner, Prepare and serve all foods and beverages required to standards laid down by Amenities Manager including portion sizes and prices, Hold regular theme days and actively support the Trust,
Be available to work outside of normal working hours occasionally, Assist Amenities Manager in the development of the service, Attend all training required
