In this role you’ll support the Head of Supply Chain Management in leading the development of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) Strategy across Sainsbury’s Bank, managing the key infrastructure to successfully deliver the Supply Chain Management model.

You’ll be accountable for:

·the development and continuous improvement of the procurement and supplier management frameworks for Sainsbury's Bank, including all related policies, processes and standards and toolkits for the SCM team and the wider Relationship Management Community (c70 RM’s)

·the simplification and integration of the SCM Policy, E2E processes and tools whilst meeting regulatory requirements and industry benchmarks and leading the implementation of changes to further improve how Sainsbury’s Bank does business with suppliers

·leading the definition and implementation of action plans to address any internal control failures/gaps

·leading end to end supply chain performance tracking and reporting across the central SCM team and the Bank’s decentralised relationship management model, including supplier balanced scorecards, executive governance reporting and board management information

·the management of the core systems that support SCM including Purchase to Pay (P2P), eSourcing and eAssurance and the continued assessment of future technology needs

·the design and delivery of the programme of training and development activity across the centralSCM team and relevant SRM training across the decentralised relationship management community drive demonstrable improvements in capability

·all SCM communications and information cascade across the supplier management community within the Bank

·leading, managing and coaching the Supply Chain Development team to achieve a performance which meets the current and future needs of the business

·programme management of all SCM activities, including the integration with Argos Financial Services

You’ll bring:

·strong communicating and influencing skills with the resilience and ability to influence/operate at an Executive level

·a proven track record of leading teams to success through development and effective talent management

·excellent working knowledge and skills in relation to supplier governance and supplier performance management/development, sourcing processes (due diligence, tendering, supplier evaluation, selection and mobilisation), supplier risk management & reporting, supplier performance reporting methodologies, regulatory compliance, ideally in Financial Services with strong awareness of FCA Handbook and in particular Sysc 8

·ability to review and analyse key external trends and influences to ensure that a wide range of information is used to support the development of strategy in line with the planned overall business direction

·strong relationship management skills

·strong awareness of the control environment within a financial services organisation

·strong awareness and understanding of Conduct, Concentration, Operational and Performance Risks

·qualified to degree level and /or MCIPS
