This is an exciting time

this new management role, you will have responsibility for the service delivery
and attainment of performance targets in your geographical responsibility area
by BASS staff, who deliver accommodation and support provision to service users
who are defendants and offenders on bail or Home Detention Curfew licence.
Whilst you will not have direct line management responsibility, you will
support, oversee and assist in the induction of new staff, and contribute to
a subject matter expert, you will lead and develop practice in relation to
assessment and risk management, report writing and use of BASS Live, both in
terms of an agreed caseload and via support and mentoring. You will advise
staff on best practice, and undertake specialist intervention where required,
for example in relation to compliance, referrals, or stakeholder engagement.
You will undertake and
manage support planning alongside other relevant duties in order to provide
high quality housing and support services to promote independent living to
people released on bail or other orders or licenses from prison or the courts
that might have a range of diverse needs.
You will also play a key
role in meeting contractual arrangements and building and maintaining
professional working relationships with the contractor and key Criminal Justice
You will work in a patch that covers The greater metropolitan London area and as such you
will travel around within the M25 on a regular basis.
You will be required to take part in our on call rota. Due
to the nature of this role you need to have a full driving licence, access to a
car insured for business purposes. Please note any offer of employment is

A bit about you
You will have strong
leadership skill and working as part of a dynamic team will supervise the
delivery of high quality services aimed at supporting clients meet their goals
so that they are empowered to live as independently as possible. Additionally
you will advise other staff on best practice and on occasions undertake
specialist interventions, as well as leading in respect of culture and
diversity, and demonstrating a committed to delivering a positive experience
for service users.
You should be able to
demonstrate relevant experience of working within the BASS or other large scale
Ministry of Justice contracts. Furthermore you will be familiar with the care
environment and/or dealing with vulnerable people, have sound knowledge of
issues facing clients and resources available in the community. You will
possess excellent communication and administration skills as well as commitment
and the ability to work under your own initiative and to tight deadlines.
Ideally you will have experience of working in criminal justice system or in
supported housing services and have a solution focussed approach to problem
