SSE Enterprise Contracting and Lighting Services is a wholly owned subsidiary of SSE and employs 3,500 staff nationally. Due to recent contract wins we currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Team Manager based in Solent Park, Portsmouth.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading an operational team and for the planning, organising and monitoring of their construction and maintenance activities. This includes major schemes to ensure a safe, profitable and responsive service in accordance with the local business plan; ensuring work plans are achieved within budget and in accordance with Company policies and procedures and to client requirements. The role also includes management of individual performance, actively promoting a positive safety culture, ensuring all training and development needs are identified and fulfilled and all disciplinary issues dealt with promptly in accordance with established procedures.

You must be enthusiastic and hardworking and have experience of ensuring that all works are planned properly, customer requirements are met and safety standards are maintained at all times whilst ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Extensive operational experience within Lighting Services along with a Street works Supervisor certificate or similar contracting activity and accreditation is vital as is a proven ability to balance client requirements, commercial priorities and effectively allocate resources. You must also be able to demonstrate delivery of a high profit contribution and successful work programme whilst effectively managing either multi-disciplinary teams or many high volume single function teams.

Experience in setting staff to work and full UK driving licence is essential for the role.
