Project Quantity Surveyor
We are recruiting on behalf of regional Main Contractor for a Quantity Surveyor to work across Building projects in Yorkshire.
The company is well established Yorkshire regional contractor who work on local based projects who pride themselves on their ethical business practices and support of their supply chain partners. They run schemes across a variety of sectors within Building, including both new build and refurbishment projects valued up to around £5m.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the execution of the Quantity Surveying function on allocated contract/s in accordance with the systems and procedures of the business, in order to fulfil the requirements of the Company in maximising quality of service and profitability. The candidate will run their own project or projects dependant on collective value, reporting directly to the Commercial Manager.
Full procurement of Subcontractors including subcontractor order placing
Management of Subcontractors
Undertaking cost analysis and valuations
Assisting in establishing a client's requirements
Performing risk, value management and cost control
Advising on procurement strategy
Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
Allocating work to subcontractors
Providing advice on contractual claims
Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports
Valuing completed work and arranging payments
Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use
