A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Group Finance Manager to join one of the UK's most successful Domiiliary Care businesses at a very exciting time of success, and growth.

We are seeking a qualified accountant with several years of experience, which must include year-end processes, statutory accounts and tax computations. You will have a flare for numbers, advanced Excel skills, and a strongly analytical mind. The right candidate will directly oversee the Nottingham based Finance team, and indirectly oversee the SSC team. You will have the opportunity to take a project lead on any arising financial initiatives and wider business projects with finance touch points. The Group Finance Manager will be responsible for delivering an outstanding service to an extremely well regarded and sizable company, who offer an excellent benefits package.

Duties include:

  • Monitoring day-to-day financial operations within the Group including payroll, invoicing, A/P etc.

  • Overseeing the Nottingham based Finance team directly (Management Accountants, Payroll and Purchase & Sales Ledger Clerks) and the SSC team indirectly

  • Undertaking and providing feedback on a first round review of the monthly management accounts with the MA team/Operational teams

  • Assisting with completion of the monthly Group consolidation

  • Taking a lead role in the year-end audit process liaising with the auditors to produce the statutory accounts for all Operating Companies within the Group

  • Managing the Group’s GPA arrangements for corporation tax

  • Taking a lead role in providing information to, and liaising with, the external tax team in finalising computations and annual CT tax returns

  • Taking ownership of any OpCo VAT return commitments

  • Monitoring and forecasting daily Group cash flows

  • Producing quarterly financial reports for CQC and dealing with any resulting queries

  • Preparing and maintaining bank MI files including covenant forecasting

  • Managing acquisition and completion account entries for business combinations

  • Understanding and adhering to financial regulations and legislation
