My prestigious client based in Kettering is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager on a permanent basis. The role will be responsible for finding new opportunities, mostly by phone, for the company's services. They will then be responsible for going to the meeting that they have arranged and closing the sale.

The successful candidate needs to be willing to put in a huge amount of work in the first year to build up and create meetings from their own database. They will need to work on the phones from a database provided to build up contacts and to find opportunities at companies with in a 50 mile radius of Kettering. The role will be office based apart from travelling to meetings which should be about twice - four times a week. In the first couple of months it will be 100% office based until they have arranged the meetings.

The successful candidate will live locally to the office in Kettering, and have:-

  • Experience in sales preferably 2 years
  • Experience in cold calling- will be making a minimum of 50 cold calls a day.
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent face to face skills
  • Excellent communication skills an able to communicate with people at all levels including MD's, sales directors and company owners

In return you will receive a competitive basic salary of £16-20k, and realistic on target earnings of £30-35k in year one, going up from that in year 2 as you build on your database, so if you meet the above criteria and are up for a challenge, please email your CV now.
