Job summary: Manage and co-ordinate the installation of multi-discipline security

systems to their conclusion including full cost control and resolution

of any disputes, including production of monthly forecasts, achieving

revenue and gross margins in line with forecast.

profitable business

_ Key contacts include:

o Internal – Contracts Manager, Bid Manager, Head of MPG, MPG

Account Managers, other Project Managers, Design Team Leader

and each of the other branch Function Managers and their next level

management reports. Other Area Managers and key personnel in the

support functions; Human Resources, Finance and Sales

o External – key customers, sub contractors.


_ Maintain a close working relationship with the Contracts Manager to review and

improve the department’s current aims and objectives.

_ Record, monitor and advise the Contracts Manager of any defects and

specification deviations.

_ Direct management of designated project team.

_ Management of large scale projects, on time, within budget and in a professional


_ Control, direct and co-ordinate large teams of Engineers and Sub-

Contractors work whilst on site.

_ Responsible for the implementation of procedures for the execution of work,

briefing instructions to the staff in a timely fashion and ensuring that best practice

is exercised.

_ Planning and scheduling of manpower and equipment requirements for

programmed jobs, guaranteeing that the jobs are completed within the specified

time frame and budget allocated.

_ Provide regular project progress reports to the Contracts Manager.

_ Conduct regular safety and quality audits on the Engineers and Sub-Contractors

to ensure that the employees are using the correct equipment in the correct


_ Monitor Health & Safety of allocated staff and Sub-Contractors, ensuring

compliance with all legislation.

_ Manage work in hand to maximise productivity of the team, accuracy of forecasts,

and jobs completed in a timely manner.

_ Forecasting of revenues and margins

_ Managing of CDM regulations, method statements, risk assessments, COSHH

regulations and toolbox talks on all projects being carried out

_ Working to BS4737, NACOSS, BS5839 and ISO 9000

_ Monitor and control allocated budgets and prepare reports and programmes as

required by the Installation Manager.

_ To behave in a manner consistent with client culture and actively promote this
