About the role

6 Month Fixed Term Contract

We are currently looking to strengthen our team, and are seeking to recruit commercially experienced, enthusiastic and hardworking individuals into our Procurement team.

The Procurement Support Officer will be accountable for supporting and assisting with all procurement & supplier contracting activity across a range of category and sub-category portfolios to deliver compliance and value for money.

The position involves extensive contact with various levels of internal staff and suppliers, and developing and maintaining a professional interface, is essential to maintain the reputation of the department.

About the individual

The ideal candidate will likely have the following significant experience:

  • Good experience and knowledge of operating within a procurement & supplier contracting function, gained in the public and private sector, delivering excellent customer service
  • Knowledge of the European Union Public Contract Regulations and some experience of successfully supporting the management of suppliers and contracts, within the parameters the Regulations, to include contract administration, financial analysis and project support
  • Awareness of the importance of accuracy, data integrity and adhering to procedures
  • Demonstrable task planning skills and self-management skills to complete required outputs to meet challenging deadlines
