Our client is an exciting events organisation based in North Solihull. They offer a selection of event spaces for hire for day time conferences, dinners and evening receptions. They are seeking a high performing Sales Account Manager to join their team with a focus on converting sales enquiries for their venue and proactively developing key accounts

Principle Responsibilities:

·Proactively promoting the Venue through targeted networking, exhibitions and other key activities

·Proactive account management of existing and new clients to grow revenue

·Acting as the first point of contact for new clients enquiring about the Venue

·Preparing bespoke proposals that meet the client’s objectives and brief

·Conducting show-rounds with prospective clients, selling the services and closing the sale

·Deal with event or conference booking enquiries up to the point of contract

·Work with external partners, agencies and industry bodies to gain repeat business, referrals and new business

·Monitor and review competitors to ensure the Venue remains competitive

·Some requirement for weekend and unsocial hours as and when required

Skills and Experience required:

·Essential - Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in a venue setting, proactively and reactively selling events to corporate clients

·At least 18 months’ sales experience within events / hospitality including conferencing and banqueting

·Passionate about guest satisfaction – willing to go the extra mile

·Very well presented, with an eye for detail and a drive to get it right

·Socially confident, diplomatic and able to build confident relationships

·Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

·Good organisational and planning skills – Able to handle multiple requests

·Numerate with an excellent grasp of MS Office applications
