Vacancy descriptionWhere do you see yourself heading? What do we want from you? To be honest we are

looking for someone who can help out in many areas. It is not necessarily your

experience or knowledge (hey – you haven't got much otherwise you wouldn't be an

apprentice would you?) but your enthusiasm, aptitude and attitude that we want.

Therefore you will receive broad, on-the-job training in all aspects of supporting and

developing businesses through IT. This will range from systems and server

administration, security, programming and web development. Once you have received

experience in those base areas we would expect you to start to specialise and expand in

areas that you are, or become, naturally interested in.

To start with you will be a shadow, listening and learning and building up your

knowledge. At times it will be difficult but ultimately it will be hugely rewarding and

satisfying. Once you have some basic knowledge you will be entrusted with some of the

simpler jobs, building up, as your skills develop, into more demanding work.

You will also be expected to undertake some customer support via telephone and email,

helping understand problems, efforts to resolve them and reporting and documenting

the problems accurately to assist with their speedy resolution.
