What do we want from you? To be honest we arelooking for someone who can help out in many areas. It is not necessarily yourexperience or knowledge (hey – you haven't got much otherwise you wouldn't be anapprentice would you?) but your enthusiasm, aptitude and attitude that we want.Therefore you will receive broad, on-the-job training in all aspects of supporting anddeveloping businesses through IT. This will range from systems and serveradministration, security, programming and web development. Once you have receivedexperience in those base areas we would expect you to start to specialise and expand inareas that you are, or become, naturally interested in.To start with you will be a shadow, listening and learning and building up yourknowledge. At times it will be difficult but ultimately it will be hugely rewarding andsatisfying. Once you have some basic knowledge you will be entrusted with some of thesimpler jobs, building up, as your skills develop, into more demanding work.You will also be expected to undertake some customer support via telephone and email,helping understand problems, efforts to resolve them and reporting and documentingthe problems accurately to assist with their speedy resolution.Requirements and prospectsDesired skillsWe are a looking for a well rounded person, who would be happy to speak to clients(don't worry you won't be dropped in the deep end on day one!), be approachable andpresentable in dress, speech and attitude.Personal qualitiesYou must be creative and have a passion for all things web design.You must keen to learn new skills and develop your ideas.You must also be responsible and professional in order to manage your own client projects.Qualifications requiredMinimum 5 GCSE’s A-C including Maths and English and ICT or equivalentsFuture prospectsA full time, permanent job opportunity will be available for a keen, enthusiastic and successful apprentice.Things to considerNone specified.
