Job Purpose:
To devise, document and deliver a structured comprehensive training program for the full range of equipment for Hako technicians to ensure they are able to provide excellent service to our customer base.
To also provide technical support and training to self-maintaining customer engineers upon request.
To support our Health & Safety policy by ensuring on-site adherence to legal requirements as required.
As required, to support the field team and assist with service and repairs to the Hako range of equipment using best technical and commercial practices.
To work closely with other Service personnel to support the timely implementation of the training roll-out to the field team.
Nature and scope (including impact of decision-making):
? Decisions made in this role will have a significant impact, both positive and negative on the profitability of the UK organisation.
? Operate within agreed strategic plan and objectives with minimal day-to- day management input.
? This role will require the ability to deal across functions, from shop floor personnel through to senior personnel at some of our major customers, as well as our own international organisation.
? The role may require some UK and European travel and nights away from home
? To assist both Hako direct and customer engineers with diagnosis and repairs of equipment outside of their skills range
? To carry out technical service and maintenance training to both Hako direct and customers directly employed engineers
? To carry out, upon request, operator training
? To have an in depth knowledge of the company’s past and present product range to facilitate technical training where required
? To work within the operations team carrying out service and repairs across the range of Hako equipment as and when required
? To assist with development and enhancement of equipment via modifications in line with local and factory approval
? To assist wherever required the Regional Field Service Managers in the fulfilment of our business requirement
? To maintain records and copy certification for all training carried out
? To be responsible and accountable for any company property including spare parts located on your vehicle
? At all times to promote a professional company image.
? To develop good customer relations by always conveying a fair, courteous, ethical and reasonable attitude
? As required, to promptly report all minor, major or unusual defects on company products, especially new models or modified products
? To accurately complete and submit worksheets and all other required documentation in a timely manner
? To promptly submit information as and when required by your manager
? To report to your manager any incidence of machine abuse by customers, whether hired or purchased
? To ensure that the Company’s Safety Regulations are followed at all times
? To undertake projects as required by your manager from time to time
? To maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment
? To deal promptly with customer enquiries, complaints or problems, referring to higher authority anything which cannot be handled by the job holder
? To work overtime and weekend cover as and when required, subject to the demands placed on the Service Department
? To operate at the highest professional and ethical standards at all times
? Take responsibility for understanding and agreeing action plans for own development needs
? Take responsibility for understanding and agreeing action plan for training and development of colleagues
? Offer leadership to develop customer focus both for the service organisation and other colleagues
