£28,000 - £38,000. Production Coordinator, Production Scheduler. Job vacancy for an experienced Production Coordinator / Scheduler with an engineering background to join a growing, ambitious Precision Engineering company. The company has an established and loyal customer base thanks to the high quality service it provides. As a result of steady growth there is an opportunity for a committed and organised Production Coordinator to join their close-knit team. You will take full responsibility for order to delivery process, preparing accurate job cards resolving any supply and quality issues, coordinating with suppliers, updating clients, inventory management and company-wide lean and Continuous Improvement projects.

The job will involve:

- Ensuring all work orders are created and managed to satisfy requirements
- Liaising with colleagues within Production, Sales and Supply Chain to ensue orders are delivered within deadlines and any production issues flagged up quickly
- Monitoring the delivery of inbound and outbound products with the Stores department
- Troubleshoot day to day production control issues
- Achieve On Time In Full (OTIF) within deadlines
- Process Improvements
- Capacity planning into the business through the ERP system
- Develop positive relationships with clients

Successful candidate will have following skills and attributes:

- Relevant background in production planning, engineering supply chain, engineering quality, shop floor leadership or similar background with a mix of machining and documentation.
- An engineering background (CNC, precision engineering, milling and turning)
- Engineering qualifications (apprenticeship, HNC or equivalent)
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Good IT skills (including Excel, Outlook)
- Approachable, people oriented person
- Attention to detail
