Continuous Improvement Engineer based in Stoke-on-Trent

Client Details

Our client is a leading manufacturing company recruiting a Continuous Improvement Engineer, based in Stoke-on-Trent

Description

  • Provide technical support to Production on persistent or non routine problems by applying proven problem solving methodologies.
  • Maintain & improve knowledge of the core technologies in the process to support the continuous improvement strategy of the business
  • Value Stream Analysis (current and future state Value Stream mapping)
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing leaders to assess the current state of the Plant's operations, develop future state vision and implementation plan
  • Assist in locating Best-in-Class Operations processes, and then implement them into the facility and platform where applicable.
  • Support other C.I initiatives, including best practice implementation, when striving to improve Business Metrics.
  • Using standard tracking and reporting systems, will prepare detailed plans, drive project performance and assure timely completion and achievement of product/process quality and saving goals.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop a plant C.I. roadmap.
  • Identifies barriers to project success and solicits help from leaders when needed.
  • Assist Manufacturing in any strategic initiatives that will help in compliance to standards, implementing new systems, and designing creative solutions that will help continuously improve the business and platform.
  • Facilitate cross-functional expert teams to drive breakthrough for Best-In-Class performance in S,Q,D,C,P

Profile

To be a successful applicant you will be an experienced Continuous Improvement, Process / Manufacturing Engineering or Quality professional with previous experience of Lean Manufacturing Principles in a manufacturing or similar environment. You will possess strong lean knowledge with a proven track record using structured problem solving and statistical analysis - with the ability to apply statistics to product and process improvement projects.
