Job Description

Our client are a Wholesale Group Tour Operator looking for a Market Manager in their London office in order to assist and support a growing and dynamic Team dealing with Wholesale customers from the North American Markets.

The successful candidate will need to be proactive, target driven and confident with the ability to regularly liaise and negotiate with clients and suppliers by telephone, email and in person.

Key Activities:

  • Represents the company in the best possible light to external business contacts.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with the existing Clients as well as enlarge the Business Opportunity with new Clients (including courtesy and Sales calls and meetings).
  • Continuous knowledge on Client Profiles in order to ensure their expectations are met.
  • Active involvement in all operational activities such as: solving complex situations with reservations, contracting, accounting and others.
  • Perform market research activities in order to anticipate Market Trends.
  • Submit periodic activity reports as per company requirements.
  • Assisting the accounts department with any credit control queries.
  • Adhere and submit all monthly expenses based on budgets and reporting guidelines as set by the direct manager.
  • Attend company meetings, conferences, educational trips and training sessions.
  • Attend and represent the company at various trade shows and other industry related events.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Proven demonstrable experience working in a Groups Wholesale environment
  • Experience in selling European Groups to the American and Canadian Markets
  • Established portfolio of American and Canadian clients highly advantageous
  • Ability to plan Sales Strategies
  • Experience and understanding of needs & requirements of the American and Canadian Markets
  • Business Development Skills in the Wholesale B2B Group Travel environment
  • Commercial awareness and business acumen.
  • Advanced negotiation Skills.
  • Customer oriented approach.
  • Analytic and reporting skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast moving environment.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
