Web Design and Development Lead
Annual Salary: £80k-£100k
We are Emotech, a London-based robotics startup that aims to improve the relationship between human and technology with our innovative, AI-powered, personal robot named Olly.
Olly is an emotional companion and smart assistant that develops its own personality based on its interaction with you, so that you can have a more balanced, natural interaction with technology, while also using smart scheduling and nuanced contextual notifications to motivate your learning, creativity, productivity and wellbeing. Olly is also your smart home hub to integrate and simplify the process the interaction with ‘internet of things’ devices at home.
As the lead for web design and development, you will be responsible for:-Create and design a user interfaces.-Liaise with internal/external clients and stakeholders in order to define the requirements for the website and product.-Present design options to external clients and internal stakeholders.-Design and develop web and proprietary interfaces for relational systems.-Design web pages and interfaces including graphics, animation and functionality to maximise visual effectiveness and facilitate appropriate access.-Tests website interaction and performance prior to going ‘live’, and monitors and maintains functionality of the website and product base.-Develop, write and publishes content for the website and product.-Some travel required.
To qualify for this role, you must have:-15+ years in the product design field leading teams with at least, 5+ years of product management and 10+ years of interaction design experience. -Knowledge of animation theory and character animation will be essential to bring Olly to life. Procedural animation, motion design and storytelling is a definite positive and well-received.-Full knowledge of the entire design process, strategies and thinking in order to create a full user experience; ranging from concept design & service design to product and motion design.-Familiar with full new product development process from idea generation, design verification, to mass production and launch (coordinating design teams and engineering to work together along the way).-Understand and have experience leading the way in Human Interface Guidelines, User Experience best practices and have proven ability to create design strategies and guidelines for new products and services.-Experience creating a brand and stewarding it along the way of a product’s design cycle to ensure creative deliverables are representative of the product and brand values.-Must have an exceptional track record of delivering world-class, high quality electronic services and products with large volume on multiple platforms (>1 MM units per year).-Be able to exhibit stylistic breadth and attention to detail while balancing beauty, innovation and usability to create industry leading products.-Proven experience building, managing, and sustaining successful teams.-An exceptional portfolio showcasing innovative design solutions across multiple platforms and hardware devices.Expires on 11th May 2016.
