One of the UK's best known Financial Membership Associations is looking for a new Business Development executive to join their growing team in London to sell venue space to existing members and new clients.

The Client is a well known Membership Association based within an exceptional building in Central London. The building comprises multiple rooms of all different sizes that are hired out for various purposes to its members and prospective clients.

The rooms can be used for everything from small round table discussions to annual conferences and Weddings.


Business Development Executive - Venue Hire


Key member of the team responsible for the business development and existing client management of the organisation in order to meet the long term growth objectives for the business.

Main Responsibilities

- Meet individual and team income targets each month.

- Effectively sell event space and rooms

- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross sell additional services to clients and members

- Proactively target and grow clients within your own allocated client base.

- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

- Manage multiple projects and deliver the best service.

- Ensure all required handover processes are followed once the contract is signed and work closely with key stakeholders within the wider business to ensure smooth delivery of the activity.

- Understand and monitor competitors, remain abreast of relevant market changes and developments to help develop new and existing business opportunities.

- Ensure all information that drives KPI dashboards is correct, validated and meets scheduled deadlines. Prepare accurate reports for the Business Development & Operations Manager when needed

- Specific duties will vary from time to time in line with the business needs

- A good standard of education.

- B2B Business Development Experience

- Consultative approach to sales and business development

- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure when required.

- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to deal with staff and stakeholders at all levels in a professional manner.

- Excellent communication skills - written and oral.

- Ability to work autonomously and prioritise workload as required.

- Excellent IT skills with a good knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ability to use other systems as required.

- A good team player with a flexible 'can do' attitude.

- Knowledge and experience in selling venue hire packages.

- Proven record of meeting revenue targets.

- Proven negotiation skills

Job Offer

A basic salary of £25,000 - £27,000 plus excellent commission and benefits
