Quality Manager - About the opportunity
The opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Manager or a Senior Quality Engineer to join a leading Automotive Tier 1 supplier based at their Birmingham site.

Purpose of Role - Quality Manager
My client is looking to recruit a fully qualified Quality Manager who will be responsible for managing a team of 10 people. Implementing and managing Quality compliance within the company, including policies, processes and procedures.
Responsibilities:

- Managing all aspects of quality.
- Responsible for 10 members of staff duties: recruitment, supervision and managing/developing the Internal Quality Team
- Liaise with customers to ensure customer satisfaction and service levels are maintained
- To take responsibility for leading the ongoing corrective action and continuous improvement efforts to drive performance
- To enforce not through old style inspection but through the more modern approach of applying best practices from a Quality perspective

Candidate requirements - Quality Manager
The ideal candidate must come from an Automotive background as a Quality Manager or Senior Quality Engineer. You will also have the following skills, qualifications & experience:
Hold a recognised engineering qualification such as HNC, HND or BEng

- Ideally be a member of CQI or ASQ
- Experience with TS 16949
- Must come from the Automotive Industry
- Will have experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment

- Will have an in depth understanding of current Automotive Quality Standards and systems
- Will have a "hands on" approach with experience of Supervising or Managing staff
