Quality Manager - About the opportunity
The opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Manager to join a well-established company based in Putney.

Purpose of Role - Quality Manager
To manage and monitor the Company's Business Management System (BMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) and registrations to ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004.


- Undertake the role of "Management Representative" as defined within ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004
- Monitor, develop and continually improve the Company BMS and EMS processes
- Maintain registration of the BMS and EMS with the company certification body
- Carry out internal quality and environmental audits
- Carry out supplier and sub-contractor audits when required
- From time to time carry out related functions or other reasonable ad hoc duties as may be required by any of the Company Directors

Authority Parameters

- Issuing of reports, notices and memos to Company staff to ensure compliance with the BMS and EMS
- Organising and coordinating certification body visits at offices and sites
- Arranging meetings as necessary with the Directors and Managers in the development of the BMS and EMS processes


- To the Board of Directors in carrying out the role of Management Representative as defined within ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004
- To the Board of Directors for the development and management of the BMS and EMS
- To the CEO for all other areas of responsibility as defined in the specific responsibilities section above

Review Clause
The main responsibilities of the post will be reviewed on a regular basis, in consultation with the post holder, to meet the changing needs of the business

Candidate requirements - Quality Manager
The ideal candidate must come from the construction industry ideally facades sector as a Quality Manager or Senior Quality Engineer. You will also have the following skills, qualifications & experience:

- Hold a recognised engineering qualification such; Ideally AIQAS, IRCA and/or IEMA qualified, or working towards their qualifications
- Must possess strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Previous experience of working with and documenting quality and environmental systems, processes and procedures within the Construction Industry, and ideally within the Facades sector.
- Ideally trained as an internal auditor of quality and environment systems
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong collaboration skills, with focus on customer service
- Experience of working effectively with cross-functional teams and with representatives from various department and levels
- Must be self-motivated and be able to prioritise and resolve competing priorities
- Must be able to interact and influence at all levels of the organisation so high level of professional and effective interactive communication skills are a must
- Must have strong personal resilience
- Needs to be capable of conceptual thinking
- Needs to be able to readily accept and contribute to change agenda and lead change
- Excellent computer skills
