A market leading construction business on the Hertfordshire / Essex border is looking for a Financial Controller (ACA/ACCA). They have an established a strong reputation for high quality homes and have ambitious growth plans in the next 3 - 5 years.

Key Group Financial Controller responsibilities will include:

  • The production of timely and accurate monthly consolidated financial reports
  • Play a lead role in the preparation of interim and annual reports for group entity accounts
  • Assist with the company secretarial
  • Manage the relationship with HMRC including all general correspondence and issues
  • Providing support to the Group Finance Director
  • Group Consolidations
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Preparation of full consolidated accounts pack
  • Assist with the preparation of annual Group Budget
  • Attend weekly cashflow meetings
  • Prepare audit files for annual audit
  • Preparation of quarterly Holdings and Partnerships board meetings and packs

Your characteristics:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA) or overseas equivalent
  • Big 4 technical / audit experience
  • Technically minded and aware of commercial considerations in business decisions
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Technical financial system knowledge
  • Excellent organisation skills and multitasking abilities
