Quantity Surveyor (R&M) - Social Housing Contractor - Permanent - West London - Up To £45k Basic Plus Package.
Currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a Social Housing Maintenance Contractor based in West London. The role will be to work on a R&M contract overseeing responsive & major repairs as well as void work streams with a value of around £13 million covering over 20,000 properties. My client are seeking a quantity surveyor with previous experience working in a responsive repairs contract within the social housing sector using schedule of rates NHF 6.1 to code and price repairs.
The successful candidate will be reporting into a Senior Quantity Surveyor and will be expected to price repairs to schedule of rates so an in depth knowledge of Schedule of Rates is a must as well as experience carrying out other general duties such as document control, liaise with client & subcontractors, raising purchase orders, CVR's, Variations, cost forecasting and Valuations.
My client are a large main social housing maintenance contractor based in UK. They have a large portfolio of contracts with several local authorities ranging from decent homes to responsive repairs contracts. Due to being acquisition a new contract in the West London area my client are now looking for a Quantity Surveyor to grow the commercial teams.
Successful candidates will have experience in Quantity Surveying within the social housing sector. They will have an understanding of valuing sub-contractor works to Schedule of Rates codes (NHF 6.1). They will have a BSc or HND or time served experience in quantity surveying.
