Our client, a leading insurance organisation based in London, is currently looking for a Data Analyst. ResponsibilitiesTimely and accurate analysis of fraud data trends and risk networks.Production of analytical reports and papers using inferences and recommendations to highlight and help combat key threatsAssisting the Data Services Team in the effective performance, security, integrity and delivery of all core systems.Administering relevant procedures to ensure strict compliance with data security and retention protocols.Analysis of business MI and processes to identify and recommend progressive change, where appropriate.Creation and development of custom analytics work requests and change requests.Regular attendance at, and assistance with the management of, meetings with external suppliers and third party data providersDelivery of customer workshops, training days, events support and resolution of customer queries in line with SLAs, using a customer-focused approach.Development of user materials and guidance documents to assist with internal and external customer knowledge-sharing.QualificationsProspective candidates will either need to have one of the following in order to be considered for this role, or be willing to attain a qualification at this level: Certificates of Higher Education or; Foundation Degree or; Higher National Diplomas (or be prepared to attain a qualification at this level).Requirements
  • High level of competence with SQL, including experience with coding and design.
  • Must be enthused by working with complex data sets and problem solving.
  • In-depth understanding of how databases are structured and function is required.
  • Sufficient technical skill and capability to understand and contribute to complex discussions around the functionality of core systems (NetReveal, iBase & bespoke solutions).Working with large, complex data sets extracted from various platforms for analysis.Adopting technical lead role on industry projects – senior stakeholder management is key.Delivery of accurate analytical outputs to structured deadlines.Very high level of competence with Excel (inc. macro development, formulas, look-ups and troubleshooting)Production of professional and well-structured reports for publication across the insurance industry on high level fraud trends and patterns.Engagement with partner organisations to facilitate data sharing and lead in the effective utilisation of data sets to enhance existing knowledge assets.
