Job Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking to expand their experience in the Legal or Financial sectors with a rapidly growing company which see the Litigation Department as an essential part of the business to sustain its continued growth.

As a Paralegal, under solicitor supervision, your role would be to handle a shared high volume case load of non-contested and contested litigation matters, progressing County Court actions from the point of issue through to enforcement.The successful candidate would need to have relevant work experience at a Law Firm handling volume small claims caseload with Liberate case management system experience.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

·Handling any written or verbal communications from customers, clients, Court and 3rd parties

·Carrying out mediation hearings

·File reviews and decision making on cases throughout the litigation cycle in line with internal and external service level agreements.

·Liaising with clients to obtain supporting documentation to support a defended claim

·Provide support to our Legal Executives and Solicitors on contested matters as directed by the Litigation Team Leader

·Preparation of witness statements

·Carrying out mediations

Qualifications & Experience

·Law degree or 12 months + experience in volume litigation role (Essential)

·You must be eligible to work in the UK. (Essential)

·Experience of working on Liberate case management system (Essential)

·CILEX - studying towards or completed (Desirable)

·LPC (Desirable)

·Ability to identify and achieve solutions to problems and disputes

·Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines

·Understanding of the SRA codes of conduct and FCA rules
