Due to continued expansion, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Support Worker who can demonstrate compassion and empathy in their approach to supporting vulnerable adults with a Learning disability and enduring complex needs at our residential home in Kings Norton, South Birmingham.

The successful Senior Support Worker will support the Management team to ensure that the service user’s needs are met at all times and that the home exceeds the Standards set by the Care Quality Commission.

Other duties will include supporting and developing the staff team, reviewing care plans and risk assessments, acting as a key-worker and taking part in meetings with professionals and the service users families.

The successful candidate will be required to work 42 hours per week which will include evenings and weekends as appropriate to the needs of the home as well as taking part in the on-call rota as required.

Applicants will hold NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification and hold or be willing to work towards Level 5 in Health & Social Care.

Experience working in a supervisory role with vulnerable adults with a learning disability or mental health illness and challenging behaviour is essential.
