Digital Marketing Executive - Hotel Sunnyside (3 days per week)
Hotel Sunnyside is looking for a Marketing Executive to manage the online marketing at our hotel and sister businesses.Job DescriptionAim:The role will focus on the key areas of SEO, PPC, and Facebook advertising to attract new customers and create new revenue streams.This role is a 3 day working week pattern (days to be confirmed) with 28 days paid leave (pro-rated). The successful candidate will be supported to succeed in the role and opportunities to progress in the role, contributing to an exciting portfolio of hospitality brands with ambitious plans for the future.The successful candidate will be supported to take on responsibility for:· Implementing a new marketing strategy for the hotel and supporting businesses· Researching our industry and current typical customer to provide targeted marketing campaigns· Managing the content and blog writing and linking of all company websites· Managing the paid Google and Facebook campaigns· Creating engaging email marketing content· Creating video for website, social media, and email marketing· Collecting images and event content from the respective site managers· Assessing performance and ROI of the different marketing channels· Creating new relationships with local businesses to strengthen the hotel's package offering· Compiling results and report back to the DirectorsNature of work undertaken:After initial induction and familiarisation with the company, the successful applicant will be taking on a key role in developing the success of the business. Reporting to the Directors, the key objective of this role is to creatively identify and target ways to increase hotel occupancy levels/bookings and increase turnover within all businesses. The successful applicant will take on the exciting opportunity to research and develop a marketing strategy for the new operations of the business, including surf school and beach bar, and will play an integral part of the anticipated rebrand of the hotel at the end of the current season. The successful applicant will have a keen interest in the hospitality industry and what makes people want to come and return to a particular venue. They will also be able to communicate effectively with the respective site managers, helping and supporting where necessary to ensure good relationships are developed and maintained.Required Personal skills and qualifications:Essential Requirements:· Bright, confident, creative, innovative, commercially minded approach· Experience of managing a Wordpress website· SEO and paid advertising experience· Excellent skills in interpersonal relationship development and customer service· Excellent ability with IT, administration, numeracy, analysis and strong attention to detail· Proven experience with an office-based role· Ability to work on own initiative. · Self-motivated, organised, and reliable· Ability to work creatively with limited resourcesDesirable Requirements:· Degree level qualification in marketing, business or related subject· Experience of marketing in the leisure sector· Experience of managing a successful project from start to finish· Experience of graphic design for posters and online advertising· Experience of video production and editingCompany DescriptionWe currently oversee six complimentary businesses: Hotel Sunnyside, Great Western Beach, The Slope Beach Bar + Kitchen, Newquay Surfing School, First Wave Adventures, and No.5 Brewhouse.All businesses are managed independently with separate site managers, but work closely together to allow a seamless package holiday experience.
