Scope of Role

My client, a leading manufacturing company based on the outskirts of Reading are looking to recruit an experienced customer focused sales administrator. To be successful you will have plenty of experience in a customer facing role within a manufacturing environment and be willing to go the extra mile to deliver exceptional customer service to all our customers

Reporting to the Sales Manager you will work as part of a small team. Daily activities will include updating the CRM, answering e mails, dealing with sales enquiries, producing sales reports. You will also be responsible for progressing of orders through the production process and arranging transport and preparing the necessary delivery paperwork.

Main Duties:

- Processing customer orders ensuring all details and pricing is correct in line with agreements in place.
- Updating the CRM customer records with relevant information.
- Liaise with production team on delivery schedules.
- Act as a single point of contact for customers and take communications from customers and act upon them in a timely fashion, managing the accounts with the Sales Manager.
- Progressing of orders up to and including arranging despatch.
- Developing companywide personal relationships - internal and external.
- Raising of quotations and quotation progression.
- Develop term relationships by being responsive and reliable and understanding of customer needs.

Competencies

- Good general standard of education grade C or equivalent in English and Mathematics.
- Able to work as part of a small team across all the functions in the business.
- High level of accuracy and ability to solve problems.
- Good level of numeracy to assist with preparing quotations
- Proven experience in a sales administration role within manufacturing.
- High level of customer focus and experience in customer service.
- Confident telephone manner.
- Excellent communication skills written and verbal.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines.
- Proficient in Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Previous experience of CRM is desirable.
- Have held a role previously within Manufacturing or Engineering.

The role covers a total of 38.5 hours a week (Monday to Friday) and there can be some flexibility in regards to start time between 08.00 / 09.00am.
