Department: Quality and Technical, Location: Scunthorpe
Reports to: Operations Manager

Purpose of Role:
To support the Operations Manager in retaining BRC & ISO9001 accreditations, and to ensure the company provides an exceptional quality product to its customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain non-conformance/customer complaint databases

Compile and manage internal BRC/ISO9001 audit schedule

Handle and resolve customer complaints by phone and email in line with internal standards

Approval of incoming goods, pre-production and production samples

Analysing and preparing product and process quality reports, summarising information and making recommendations

Completing the daily schedule of line checks on all lines

Accurately maintaining all required records eg specifications & SOP's & Standards

Co-ordinating SOPs, ensuring compliance with internal quality standards and implementing and maintaining document control systems

Positively represent the Company with external organisations, customers and suppliers

Ensuring that ideas and suggestions are made so that continuous improvement is part of day to day life

Committed to company Values, Policies and Procedures

Conduct new employee company inductions

+ Any other duties as required from time to time

Personal Profile:
Experience in Quality function in Manufacturing environment essential

Organised and methodical and able to work effectively to deadlines

Experienced Internal Quality and/or Environmental Auditor desirable

Experience of working within ISO9001/BRC and other recognised regulated quality management systems

Excellent attention to detail

Computer literate including Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint essential

Experience of business management systems such as SAGE or SAP desirable, but not essential

Able to work with minimal supervision and under own initiative

Able to communicate effectively and articulately, both verbally and in writing

Good analytical and problem solving skills

Customer focused; puts the customer at the heart of everything they do
Team player; works well as part of a team

Committed to CI; continually improving the way we do things; keeping it simple

Being resilient and able to deal with the demands of the business
