SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
This leading global automotive manufacturing and assembly business is actively seeking an experienced Senior Electronics Engineer to repair, maintain, service and design any equipment associated with the manufacture of the company products.
Commutable from: Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Walsall, Tamworth, Redditch
Salary: £ 40,000 - £ 45,000 p.a + Benefits - Days Based

Working as a key part of the maintenance and facilities team, the Senior Electronics Engineer will maintain and repair the electrical production equipment on site and where required; support, instruct and train, any personnel associated with such equipment and will be responsible for the following activities;
Maintain, repair and install any electronic items or equipment.
Liaise with Team Leaders in the development of PPM files
Design or modify plant electronic control programmes
Identify long and short-term containment actions in response to machine breakdowns.
Analyse breakdowns and machine failures to effect improvement in machine uptime.
Liaise with production in respect of TPM activities and with Team Leaders in identifying potential machine refurbishment to improve production quality or machine speeds.
Identify critical spares for machines.
Liaise with external bodies, such as insurance companies and HSE on matters concerning Health and Safety and accidents.
Produce detailed drawings and specifications with regard to electronic control
Work on any project associated with electrical control
Liaise with all personnel on any specifications or details regarding electronic control
Take on any training requirements deemed necessary to carry out the job function.
Making alterations and installations in accordance to the customer requirements
Programme alterations and recording of on the department system
Supporting the maintenance engineers on breakdowns ensuring a clear Passover between shifts
Identifying items for repair and communicating with both maintenance co-ordinator and supplier to initiate the collection, repair etc.
Attend meetings to understand both breakdown and project requirements and respond with updates in line with the timing plan
You will be an experienced automotive electrical maintenance professional with strong understanding of high volume production and assembly operations within a fast paced environment and you will have a strong mix of the following skills and experience;
Qualified Electrician (16thth / 17th Edition certification)
Step 5 & 7 programming
PLC fault finding and diagnostics
Planning and organisin (TPM understanding)
