£35,000k - £45,000k +car / car allowance & package (dependent on level of experience)
Quantity Surveyor required for our East Midlands based main contractor.
This is an East Midlands based contractor that are now looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor, this business turns over in excess of £50 million working on Commercial, Education and Industrial contracts across the Midlands area. The candidate for this challenging but rewarding role must have experience working within a similar driven and fast paced environment.
As the Quantity Surveyor you will be required to manage several projects at any one time, you will also be working on and improving relationship with subcontractors and clients is a must, whilst managing all procurement, placing orders through to final account.
The Quantity Surveyor for this role will be required to manage and assist with all commercial requirements on their projects including:
Provide accurate commercial forecasting
Support contract compliance
Maximize profit and cash levels at all times
Manage and reducing risks to the business
Able to deal with tough negotiations and pressures of fast paced environment
Previous experience of NEC and JCT contracts is desirable
Relevant degree within Quantity Surveying (completed)
Ideally have a minimum of 3-5 experience, whilst working for a main contractor, ideally within similar sectors.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record within the industry as an Intermediary Quantity Surveyor, currently employed by a reputable construction main contractor and have experience of commercially managing projects from £1m to £10m.
Projects will be on either a design and build / plan & spec / traditional basis for both new build and refurbishment schemes. You will be qualified to degree level or equivalent and have experience at a similar level, or be looking to take the next step on the career ladder.
