In this role you’ll be responsible for risk analysis and reporting for Operations, providing insight into how effectively conduct, regulatory and operational risks are being managed and identifying areas for improvement. You’ll also manage oversight of the quality of the risk data, produce risk analysis and reporting and make recommendations for developing this.


·gather and analyse risk data, support root cause analysis, identify key themes and trends and recommend areas where action is required to improve risk management

·develop data quality exception reports and use these to carry out monthly assurance reviews of the risk data, helping to make sure that the data is robust and supports meaningful reporting

·produce risk reports for the attention of Operations management, Risk stakeholders and senior committees, incorporating data analysis with insightful commentary

·support the development of and produce reports on a suite of Key Risk Indicators for Operations

·produce risk packs to support the Operations management team in meeting Risk and Control Self-Assessment requirements

·track and report on the progress of 2nd Line and Internal Audit reviews and issues, ensuring 2nd Line and Internal Audit are provided with timely updates on the status of any outstanding issues

·support the Operations management team in meeting Policy Framework requirements through the collation and constructive challenge of risk data to support attestation requirements

·prepare recommendations for developing risk analysis and reporting, helping to improve the level of insight into how effectively risks are being managed within Operations

·support the monitoring of external developments (regulatory and industry) and assessment of potential implications for Operations

·monitor completion of Mandatory Training across Operations, sending reminders and escalating as necessary

You’ll bring:

·a good understanding of the financial services industry, a good understanding of Retail Banking, Insurance products and the Telephony service channel would also be an advantage

·a good awareness of the relevant risk functions across the Bank, covering Conduct, Regulatory and Operational Risk

·strong reporting and analytical skills, gained within a Risk role

·strong planning and organising skills

·great relationship management skills

·strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate at all levels

·an ability to use own initiative

·an effective team player

·the ability to proactively identify opportunities to make improvements for customers and the Bank
