Job Title:Landscape Industry Specialist

Main purpose:
To help develop and demonstrate, visually exciting and interesting Landscape Architecture / Design projects to provide our Landscape Architecture customers and prospects with an understanding of what can be achieved with our leading design software. To help maintain a loyal user base and identify business development opportunities for industry professionals wanting to make use of the latest design technologies in the areas of GIS, BIM ( Building Information Modelling ) CAD, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, CAD and Visualisation. To be an ambassador for both Vectorworks and Exertis Unlimited.

Successful Candidate:
A landscape architect or related industry graduate. A keen interest in landscape and digital design is vital. Experience of using Vectorworks or other design software is desirable. On the job training and development is provided. A calm but confident, personality who is happy to present to new people is a must. Successful candidate will have good organisational skills and the ability to take on a project, carry out research and present it to professionals in the landscape and related design industries. Verbal and graphical communication skills are important, as are spelling and grammar.

Job Content and Context:
Core:
1.Put your design skills to good use within our team, helping to develop exciting, useful Landscape projects in order to show off our latest software tools.
2.Evangelise Landscape Architecture digital design processes and Vectorworks Landmark during customer visits, industry events, trade shows, seminars, webinars and formal training sessions.
3.Develop and maintain close working relationships with key Landscape Architecture practitioners, providing consultation, industry expertise promoting best practice and product training in order to maintain loyal users.
4.Develop/maintain an advanced understanding of the Vectorworks Landmark product, and the current digital processes including BIM ( Building Information Modelling ( on the job training provided ).
5.Represent Vectorworks Inc. and Exertis Unlimited on working groups such as the Landscape Institute Digital Practices Group.
6.Create and deliver product demonstrations and presentations to users and prospects at various user group meetings, trade shows, and other events.
7.Maintain knowledge of landscape industry trends, end user needs & competitive products.
8.Support the education institutions ensuring future users for Vectorworks Landmark.

Additional:
9.Discover and act upon speaking, sponsorship, and networking opportunities with industry organizations and trade shows.
10.Get involved with pilot projects set by trade bodies such as Landscape Institute, BuildingSMART, OpenBIM Network, Governmental BIM Task Group etc.
11.Identify suitable case studies from registered users for development by Marketing Manager.
12.Help promote Vectorworks to product manufacturers with a view to developing product libraries / plug-ins for Vectorworks.
13.Liaise with tech support to enable familiarity with current end user problems. If appropriate, contribute to best practice reports and/or new feature documents for both end users and/or Vectorworks' product development team.
14.Generate basic training and presentation material for the Vectorworks products. Become familiar with the presentation material and be capable of presenting the same to whoever needs it (resellers, internal sales, end users).
15.Organise and implement dealer training, provide slides shows, handouts, training tools and any relevant information necessary to satisfy their customers.
16.Provide regular feedback to the group.
17.Assist in Press Visits when necessary to make sure the products are represented correctly.
18.Assemble product and industry information for web site, social media and publications.
19.Partner with Vectorworks Inc Research & Development teams to identify ways to enhance software functionalities and features.
20.Achieve group targets and objectives set each month.
21.Assist manager with any ad hoc duties and objectives deemed appropriate in agreed timescales.
22.Be punctual, maintain dress standards and be polite and courteous to customers, suppliers and staff at all times.
