The Client

Acorn is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Deputy Repro Manager to join their team on a 6 month fixed term contract.

This is a key post within the Estates Service Area providing a Post Room and Reprographic Unit service to their customers.

The successful candidate will assist the Support Services Manager in managing all aspects of the mail service including collection, delivery, and compliance with Security guidelines. All copy and print work is channelled through the Reprographic Unit and will be prioritised. The successful candidate will be responsible for motivating, developing and managing six Team Support staff to ensure that the high volume of work is delivered to the highest standard.

The Role

* Develop and manage team resources so that all team members provide a professional and customer focussed service at all times.
* Assist and guide the team in print production utilising specialised print and finishing equipment and relevant editing software.
* Ensure Health and Safety regulations are complied with.
* Manage a team of messengers and print technicians.
* Carry out regular risk assessments on all Post and Copy Unit processes.
* Manage all aspects of the mail service including collection, delivery and compliance with current Security services and government guidance.
* Manage Post and Copy Unit budgets and contracts ensuring compliance with Commission Finance and Procurement procedures.
* Assist the Support Services Manager with managing Post and Copy Unit budgets and contracts ensuring compliance with Finance and Procurement procedures.
* Manage copying / printing requirements throughout the Commission.
* Responsible for monitoring the levels of service to ensure a consistency in both quality and output, providing regular statistical information and performance indicators to Support Services Manager.
* Use the full range of specialist design and editing software available to edit and produce documents to meet customer requirements, ensuring compliance with branding.
* Manage the copy / print processes prioritising work as appropriate.
* Manage the maintenance and operation of the full range of copier / printers and finishing equipment located throughout the Commission estate ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
* Develop all Post room and Copy Unit services to ensure that such services continually meet customer requirements.
* Assist the Support Services Manager with the continued roll and implementation of multifunctional devices and associated print management.

The Candidate

* Experience working in a copy / print environment together with a practical working knowledge of printer driver software in a print room environment
* Effective practical working knowledge of specialist software including Adobe In Design and the current standard Office suite software.
* Excellent team leading skills
* The ability to provide the best possible customer service at all times.
* Good organisational, ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workloads
* Understanding of the wider corporate aims and objectives, and an awareness of political priorities and sensitivities
* Good interpersonal skills with the ability to be tactful, considerate and patient with all levels of customers

Benefits

* Paying a basic salary between £20,791 - £27,806
* 31 days annual leave pro rata (6 month FTC)
* Monday - Friday working hours (37.5 hours a week)
