Menswear Developer/Buyer
£negotiable depending on experience
Our client, a Fast Track 50 list company who imports and markets a wide range products through its own channels but also well known stores and websites is looking to strengthen their Menswear team with the recruitment of a Product Developer/Buyer .
*Support the Buying Manager with the co-ordination and development of product tech packs using Adobe Suite and Kaledo and taking accountability to ensure these packs are delivered complete and on time to minimise sampling lead times.
*Providing support to the Buying Manager on all admin functions.
*Generate specifications and bookings for the AQL platform
*Communicating with suppliers daily to confirm details of garments production, critical path and AQL
*Providing detailed feedback to suppliers on fabric, label and garment sizing specifications.
*Responsible for the seasonal buy identifying and managing your own portfolio of products and suppliers.
*Actively participate in coordinating and presenting the range for sign off and effectively manage elements of the buying cycle, ensuring timely completion of relevant approvals and processes.
*Interpretation of marketing data to assist in range planning.
*Developing strong relationships with, and understanding of, external roles such as marketing, quality control and accounts as well as networking across the wider company structure.
*Technically audit bulk products making sure stock presented complies with a commercial approval suitable to company standards.

The Candidate

*Previous experience in a buying / marketing environment is essential.
*Experience in designing garment specifications.
*Relevant experience with a major retailer.
*Experience of cost price negotiations and global sourcing.
*Experience of Kaledo Style, Adobe Suite or similar design systems
*Microsoft Office skills.
*Critical Path management.
*Highly organised and self-motivated, accustomed to leading by example and taking initiative.
*Knowledge of fabrics.
*Experience of interpreting fits into size chart amendments.
*Strong numeracy skills are essential to cost garments, produce PO's and check L/C''s
